We look forward to the launch of the International Buddhist Forum, which will be held in the capital city of the Republic of  Tuva 17-20 August, 2026. This large‑scale event will bring together representatives of the Buddhist 

The master handcrafted several sets of prayer beads from bubinga wood and presented them as gifts to Buddhist monasteries in Japan, South Korea, Mongolia, Canada, and Russia. According to legend, this tree lived for about 2,000 years before it was used as a material for the rosary, and monasteries that received such gifts hold joint prayers on the 28th of each month.

Last week, students of the Tuva Polytechnic College, inspired by the motto "Hot Hearts", and members of the environmental group "Kapelka" of the Faculty of Economics and Law of the Tuva State University, joined forces for a clean-up day. They tidied up the territory of the Center of Asia sculpture complex, preparing the city for the upcoming IV International Buddhist Forum.

 The students enthusiastically cleaned the area, and everyone agreed that only by working together can we make our city brighter, more comfortable, and more beautiful. Such actions are not just about taking care of cleanliness, but a real example of how common causes unite people and fill the world with warmth and kindness.

Republic of Tyva

- The Tubten Shedrub Ling Temple (Kyzyl) is one of the largest Buddhist temples in Russia. The interior of the prayer hall is decorated with an altar section, which features six statues of Buddhist deities and a "1000 Buddhas" composition. The central location is occupied by a statue of Buddha, which contains a piece of Buddha Shakyamuni's ashes. The temple also houses a Museum of Buddhism and Enlightenment, a library, the Russian Buddhist University, and a spiritual education center for children.

- Tsetsenling Temple (Kyzyl) is one of the Buddhist centers in Tuva. It was built in 1999. This is not only a place of worship, but also a symbol of the region's cultural revival. The temple is open to the public.

Republic of Buryatia

- Ivolginsky Datsan (Verkhnyaya Ivolga village) is the main Buddhist temple in Russia, the residence of Pandito Khambo Lama. Here is kept the incorruptible body of Dashi-Dorjo Itigelov. The Datsan has a university, prayer services and rituals.

- Datsan "Rinpoche Bagsha" (Ulan-Ude) is a modern temple with a 6-meter-high golden Buddha statue. Opened in 2004, it serves as a center for studying Buddhism and meditation.

- Barguzinsky Datsan of the Goddess Yanzima (Kurumkan) is known for its uncreated image of the goddess Yanzima, the patroness of creativity and motherhood.

 Republic of Kalmykia

- Khurul "Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni" (Elista) is the largest Buddhist temple in Europe. Inside, there is a 9-meter-tall statue of Buddha covered in gold and diamonds. It also houses the residence of the head of the Kalmyk Buddhists, a museum, a library, meditation halls, and Tibetan doctors.

In each of these regions, the temples are called in their own way: in Tuva - khuree, in Kalmykia - khurul, in Buryatia - datsan.

Many Buddhist temples in Russia were destroyed during the Soviet era and were only restored in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.

- In Buddhist temples, you can not only see unique relics, but also participate in rituals, meditations, and receive blessings or consultations from Tibetan doctors and astrologers.

 If you want to explore the Buddhist culture of Russia, these temples are definitely worth visiting!

On this sacred day for all of us, we remember with deep respect and gratitude the great feat of our compatriots. Their courage, selflessness, and boundless love for their homeland have become the foundation of our victory and an example for all generations.

 The people of Tuva have also made an invaluable contribution to the victory. The sons and daughters of this land have shown heroism and resilience on the front lines, forever etching their names in the history of the Great Patriotic War. At the same time, the entire republic came together to provide enormous material support to the front, proving that unity and selflessness are the key to a common victory. We remember and honor their heroic deeds with deep respect.

Very soon, we'll be updating the transport infrastructure. Key highways and heavily trafficked routes are the focus. A comprehensive range of works is planned: not only asphalt pavement repairs, but also sidewalk renovations, outdoor lighting upgrades, and landscaping with the planting of flowers and ornamental shrubs. Particular attention is being paid to road safety and creating a barrier-free environment. Priority areas include the Tsechengling Temple area (Shchetinkina-Kravchenko and Internatsionalnaya Streets), as well as Abakanskaya and Moskovskaya Streets.

Mayor Aydin Saryglar noted: "We are systematically updating the street and road network, recognizing that high-quality roads, modern sidewalks, and thoughtful landscaping are the fundamental components of a comfortable urban environment. Kyzyl requires progressive infrastructure development. The fact that our capital is hosting the IV International Buddhist Forum this year provides additional impetus and a special sense of responsibility: the city must look dignified, and the transformations undertaken will serve the residents of Kyzyl for years to come."

This event promises to be one of the most significant for the entire republic, and preparations are already underway!

 Volunteers and concerned residents from the Piy-Khem, Tes-Khem, Barun-Khemchik, Ulug-Khem, Tojinsky, Erzinsky, and Cha-Kholsky districts have joined the efforts to improve Kyzyl. Each district has its own territories and responsible people to ensure that everything goes as smoothly as possible.

 The scope of work is truly impressive, but thanks to the combined efforts of the municipalities and the residents of the capital, the city of Kyzyl will be transformed for this important international event.

Their cancellation ceremony will take place during the forum, which will be held from August 17 to 20 in Kyzyl.
